Spoke to Josh Brookes this morning after his first day of testing in Spain........loving it and he's pumped.
Stoked with his honda, feeling his way around the team getting to know them. But all good and he is feeling great.
He was hell bent on a SBK ride for this season so stepped off Stiggy's 600 to head to UK and is feeling like it was spot on for him.
Will keep you posted & hopefully we can find a way to watch his races. The boy is on a charge with a plan for his future. We will be seeing more of him on the world stage for sure.

Great kid Josh, amazingly not liked by many in the WSS camps, fuks me why, maybe shootin his mouth off and deservedly so, the thing he says about those teams and how they work is just f;kin amazing. Stiggy's a fukhead and lost Josh F'kin him around so sucked in............. he's on a great bike with a great team with Adrian Ghorst (CE's old crew chief on the SP in WSBK) so I'm hopin he'll win it first year out.

Only trouble he will have is adjusting to some of the small circuits.....some are narrow and theres not a lot of room or run off !!! as I know too well... But heres hoping he follows some of the other Aussies who have made a name for themselves in BSB, it really is only a small step behind worlds and way ahead of any other national championship..

Yes and no, a good season in BSB this year will open a lot of doors in 2010... I'm guessing that's what he'd be thinking as well.

nah doesnt piss us off at all mate ! Anything that makes BSB better is Brilliant......kagayama, Kiyo, Casey, Bayliss, All the Irish lads, lavilla. All makes BSB what it is, the best national championship in the world....Good luck to Josh, he will be welcomed no problem, by everyone, and like has been said, BSB the 1st place they look for the next WSBK racer for sure.

Spot on Fezz, Josh told me halfway through last season that if he didn't get Sbk ride this year he would step off bikes for 2009 and sit it out in Oz. There is no ill feeling with him & Stig, he just had a plan. He has followed his plan and is sticking to it. He is a nice bloke but has high expectations and if a team has more faith in their bike than his ability, to him thats not a winning combo. He is a pro expects his teams to be disciplined and not miss a beat and listen to what he has to say as the rider. He throws the bikes around and wants a voice.
As for the tracks Stu we spoke about that yesterday, he is not to concerned just like riding Wakefield lol.
I am Josh's biggest fan...........I met him a few years ago he drops by every time he is home in Oz.
Loves Bundy and gives Tex & I all the time in the world. I paid out on him for his crap starts beginning of last season then for every time he was passed he let at least two bikes through, what the! Wound him up to do shit on the grid and he did. And boy has it been fun watching him.
And for the girls he is eye candy and has take me to bed eyes:mod_smilie_rockwoot
Seriously watch him, he will be for all his knockers a force to be reckoned with, as he matures and learns his craft he to will be a legend. Big statement but I have seen drive and commitment and desire to get him to the top.
Will keep you posted and are planning a RATS bbq with Josh so you can all pick his brains and hang with him for a bit.

Yep, he is a great kid and has a good head on his shoulders, what I meant was that "drive" and wanting his team to back him amazingly isn't the case in most of the WSBK and even GP paddocks with their riders and they'd rather set the bike up off a spec sheet print out. I rekon good on him and the move to BSB pays way more than what he would have got in wsbk anyway so depends on how you look at it.
