anyone got any idea what gearing ratio to use @ wakefield park?? on a 600 2003 cbr, also wot side of the bike do i mount the laptimer receiver ???

The 1st 3 gears and if your lucky 4 & 5th down the straight.. Its not worth worring about..

5th- that's a luxury !(on my 600 anyway)- wonder what gears the 1000's will use???

When talking gearing, I think whats meant is sprocket ratio's, not actual gears :rolleyes:

Hmmmmm .... good question. I was pretty happy with standard gearing (not that I use anything else anyhow) except for T4-5 (top of the hill), from memory I would have liked a loger 2nd, or a shorter 3rd from memory.

Changing your gearing didn't help you at OP.....what makes you think it's going to be any different at WP :D

I ran 15 43 on my r1, think i was topping out 4th on the straight so it was way too tall but still managed to get down to 1-09 :ayyy:

Another racer with an r1 was running 14 45 and said it was still too tall
