I went for a run up the old road on Monday, including the end which is blocked by the wash out.
I was shocked to see it is almost fully repaired, from the barrier it seems all that is left is resurfacing.
Apologies for low quality phone pic, I didn't have a camera with me.

Great to see, although it will be the HWP's favourite new spot, once its open again.

Work is nothing compared to the red tape that went with that..Years of it, council laying blame on rta, rta laying blame on council, which eventually join teams, and lay blame on driver for driving into it, but neither excepted the fact that it wasnt the first time that collapsed, and botched over with land fill alone, which seems to be the exact method they did...AGAIN..
Either way, I can hear the rubbing of the hands by Gosford police in anticipation of its re-opening already

I was standing on the concrete barrier and held phone at full reach to try to take the fence out of the shot

Johns point though is that both the council & the RTA didnt build it properly & last years investigation showed that the drainage was poorly designed.. yet the 2 wanker fckstick goverment bodies that are supposed to build & maintain it properly are bickering.

Thanks for the update & the pic, Schtevo. It'll be good to have that stretch open again! Yeah, and as Johnny said, the Gosford Police station's budget is in for a boost again soon.
