Jay Leno talking to the Marketing Director of Arai. He has some very interesting things to say about helmet design & what sort of impact they can withstand.
Have a listen to what he says about a helmet falling of the seat of a bike :confused1:

Yeah - good shit - so, question is, where to find someone whom can do all that measuring malarkey for my next Arai - being that this one has been with me since Y2K.... :)
Also, this makes buying locally more attractive suddenly hey - would be surprising if a dealer hadn't smarted up to this angle yet... (tho' maybe not!) ;)

Great Video
Ive had arais for a long time now, saved my head twice during 2 massive crashes racing, plus you can send them away in the UK for checking after minor spills to see if they are structurally sound, dont know if they offer that service here, anyone know ??

I've seen a few helmets come off seats - a couple recently at EC. I've gotten into the habit of putting the helmet on the floor. They're expensive beasts, and the thought of putting a chip into it doesn't thrill me.

Great vid. The fitting part wasnt all that new to me casue ive always made sure i have a good snug fit, but the other stuff was really good. Dropping off a bike seat = still ok! Painting = ok!
Only thing i dont like about arai is the designs. Theyre all very gp styled with the solid graphics and sharp lines. Ive always liked shoei's designs as they are more detailed and can even be almost called works of art. Also ICON has awesome designs, though theyre not legal in Australia. Sucks

Arai's are the best hands down. Saved my head a few times as well, as will most helmets, plenty of people say the same thing about whatever helmet they have, BUT the fit, view, weight etc, nothing comes close. I LOVE the designs, but that's coz I'm a CE fan and buy his helmets, LOL
