Hi everyone

I am looking at getting a camera to mount on the race bike ( well someone is thinking of getting me one for xmas ) and has asked me questions about them......Well I know fark all about them, but I did notice some of you with them fitted.

Sooooo which ones are good, which ones should I avoid...experiences of using them etc. Cost of course will be an issue, so if you have some ideas that would be great

Thanks

Stu

If you find a camera your interested in, go to youtube and find some footage from a bike using said cam. Sound quality on cheaper cameras is dreadful, you really get what you pay for. If youve got a good camcorder with an AV input you can just plug a bullet camera in (the old fashioned way) but your enemy then is vibration, it jiggles the equipment and causes it to fuck up. Helps if you carry the camcorder in a backpack because your body goes a long way to eliminating the vibes.

I've been looking at purpose built cameras for months now. My studies have convinced me that the only decent one is (drum roll.....) the Vio POV.1.

+1 for the POV.1 I am impressed with it so far. Be carefull judging quality on youtube... it's a good start but it really depends on what people have done for editing, I have seen some POV vids which look like something from a mobile phone, the raw footage is top quality.
