View Full Version : My Z1000
Currently got my Z in for some work.
Full Akapovic 4 into 1 exhaust
PCIII with K & N filter
Braided Lines (Front & Back)
Gillies Rear Set
Picked these up 2nd hand from the Doc. This was a guy who done his Z up for Rapid magazine (Dec/Jan issue) and once this was done decided that he wanted a different type of ride. He took all the goodies off and sold them.
Many Thanks to the Illawarrariders who let me know about this when I was talking to them at OP on the 4/02/07.
Can't wait till I get it back as I am doing a snowy mountains ride with mates on the 3/4 March.
Wanted to fit one of these to my bike but it cost too much...........
Cheers

Got my bike back and I am rapped with the difference to it. Dropping the twin exhausts for the 4 into 1 has taken about 15kg weight off. The 4 into 1 with the PCIII & map & filter has taken it from 121RWHP to 143RWHP with 103Nm torque. The power curve is so linear and the sound is awesome.
Steve at Max Power in Wollongong did all the work and I am extremely happy with the results. I know a lot of the illawarra riders use Max Power and I can recommend him to everyone.
The downside with the rearsets is that I have lost my pillion pegs so I need to sort out how I can put some sort of pegs back on. A small issue considering the outcome.
A before & after photo
