Aust Superbikes EC 18/02/07

Went out to the supers on Sunday and had a great time. The quality of racing is world class and the guys racing really appreciate the spectator support. The riders are always willing to talk to you and show around.

The organisers even addressed the issue of merchandise at the events with Yamaha, Kawasaki & Aust Superbikes selling stuff.

It was really disappointing the lack of attendance on Sunday. Admittingly the drags were also on up the road but if you get a hard on for bikes, you should be there.

I just hope that more riders attend these meets as the atmosphere is better with bigger crowds.

James Spence had 2 off's. The 1st was due to no brakes (loose calipers) at turn 2....... scary shit. The 2nd was on turn 1 but he walked away okay.

I also caught up with Kel Buckley from AMCN there and she was saying that she just got back from Tassie doing an article down there on the road rides, will be in an upcoming issue.

yeh id love to support these local events. but they always seem to fall on a weekend i have stuff planned. ill get to one eventually

Yeah I was busy too, it's a blast going to watch those guys. There is another round later this year at EC, I reckon we should plan a Rats day out at the races.

Got to agree with Bart. Last time we were there the riders sure did seem to appreciate the support. They actually clapped the crowd.
Some of the riders in the pits make themselves available to.
Me and Vinnie had a talk to Atcho and team and they were genuinely interested in what we were up to.
