Hey guys,
Just recieved my oggys and fitted them up, I got the non-cut fairing ones (simply because i didnt want to cut my fairing). Took me about 15 mins to fit.. I did them up tight enough to ride for a little bit, but im gonna get a torque wrench off a mate this week and do them up to spec.

Was just wondering what you guys paid for your set of oggys? and did you fit them yourself or get a shop to?

I fit mine myself. It's piss easy if you have a torque wrench.I think they cost me around $130

yeh, ive done mine myself, just curious to see who does it and who doesnt.
Do you have the type that you have to cut the left fairing?

Ive only put oggys on a K4 &K5 thou and didn't need to cut the fairing on either.
On the K5 they got really clever and put a concave section in the spacer and it misses the faring by about 1mm.
I love buying after market parts that a bit of thought has gone into.

I put race types on my K1 750 (the road kind did not require cutting the fairing but were not as strong in a crash)
it was easy - just had to spend time making a nice semi circle cut in the fairing. They were aussie oggys and cost $130

I put chrome ones (purchased on ebay for about $90 ?)on my K5 that had a space in the left hand side knob that meant I did not have to cut my nice road fairing :ayyy: Took 5 mins to screw em on and they stood up well when I stacked

Yeah its worth the hack

The GSXR road ones are as useless at tits on a bull they will save your fairing in nothing other than a stationary drop ... If you drop the bike at 5km/hr you'll be lucky for them not to break off

Don`t know about that.....
This is one off my current bike. 120kph spill on the Oxley although this brand was OZY.
The ogy stood up just as well at the Creek crash.

i dropped my k6 going through a round about, and the oggy Aus did do a pretty good job, the only reason i copped damage to the fairing was cause the bike went on to hit a gutter, oh, and i paid 130 for em:ayyy:

I think they are pretty well useless at any speed for saving plastics put they might just save your frame.
On the other hand , they could snap an engine mount too.
I`d sooner have then not.

i crashed with oggys on my tl, turn 2 at the creek. dunno if they made a big difference. tho i only did fairing damage in that crash after the oggy bent. may have done more damage without it. who knows.
i have them on my k5 600 now. hopefully they will do sumthin if i crash it!!!
