Hey everyone,
I am looking to get into track days(finally). Currently restoring my little old VFR, so that she can become my track bike. Should be ready within at most 2 months.... provided that there wont be any nasty surprises!!!!
What I wanted to know is do you need a road license to race on the track?
As I will be without one for a while :(
Cheers.

hmmm,
Trackdays to begin with and actually learn to ride properly! :P
But eventually, if it works out cost wise, I would like to race. The bike will be race prepped. I am removing all road gear.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Not sure about this one.........
Circuit Breakers required a license for their track days at Philip Island. Surprised me since quite a few peeps start going to the track because of the lose of license...........
Wakefield have asked to see mine, as did PI. Eastern Creek did not..........
how confusing! Different rules for different tracks > same operators! :wtf1:

EC require you to put your license number, if you dont have it I guess they'd question you. As to whether you NEED a license or if its a form of identification, I'm not sure.
If you call them they'll tell you, let us know?

But then they'll know you don't have one .... could it be best not say anything? 'cos you know, if one loses his/her licence (points) then at least he/she can ride on track.
Not suggesting you do anything of the sort of course, this is just a theoretical dicussion.

Im sure the little 14-15 yr olds who would run rings around most of us have licences too.
If licence is needed, its only as a form of I.D, nothing else.
