lol, i was about to google this "ethan hunt" guy to see where he works...
haha.
i've heard somewhere that only certain MX bikes can be road legal, have you checked the rta website?
heres some info on compliancing: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vsi/vsi_19_-_motor_vehicle_compliance_plates_nov_2007.pdf
Just make sure that the vehicle you own, has a compliance plate with the RTA (meaning the bike model officially can be registered), because from what i've read, if you stick a bunch of road stuff (brake lights, mudguards, etc) you still won't be able to get licence plates from the RTA.
[NOTE: this is 2nd hand knowledge and sub-standard research i've done myself, if anyone wants to prove me wrong then be my guest :)]

Due to work and travel commitments I won't be able to spend much time on the racetrack this year compared to last year, plus I want to take advantage of where I live by spending more time in the bush. Apart from mountain biking which I do everyday, enduro riding is something that I always enjoyed so i'm looking for a cheap traillie to get back into it but it needs to be rego'd.

Ahhh, well you might be able to apply for an "Agricultural motorcycle registration"
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/downloads/vehiclesheet/agricultural_motorcycle.pdf i don't know how to apply for that, or the process, but if you give the rta a call and do abit of sweet talking, you'll get your answer :ayyy:

Alex, with so much red tape to get through I think you'd give up! I mean, you'd have trouble organising a root in a brothel ! Better off just buying one already made :D
