Unfortunately I don't have a comparison however i've ridden them. They're both great bikes however I think for the street, the CBR is abit more friendly than the R6. Below 10k, the R6 doesn't have much whereas the CBR has a nice midrange. They all got the latest and greatest hardware and look pretty good.
Best bet would be to take them both for a spin to compare them. I think you'll end up with the CBR though :)

TwoWheels or another mag did just this comparison a few months back. No idea of the result tho.
But here's another one anyhow :ayyy:

+1 you can read all the mags you want & all they are is rider opinion on what that rider likes & most are racers so there opinion can suck for road.
There both bikes worth owning in there own right & only a test ride will prove which suits the buyer but the main difference is riding position. the new lighter CBR600 is more aggressive than the older model but still not as much as the R6 but again thats my opinion.
for the road I wouldn't buy either just because there both to light for our shit roads, find smooth tar & your in heaven.
The reason I say my opinion is Boris who is a large frame has a write up on Bikeme about spending some time with an R6 & he liked it.

You know what pisses me off about reading comparos... (BTW I never read that crap now), they all go on about how the bike handles, how it turns, brakes and changes direction, stability .. all that stuff that important to us... they tell us which bike does which best, and which bike does what badly... but NEVER have I read one where they actually do something decent and logical with the suspension to make the bike work for the rider on the track (or road)... FFS suspension is SO important.. it changes the bike entirely.

LOL Jason
Well, I reckon it would go something like this, and is utterly dependent on the conditions of the purchase for me...:
If I had to ride it as stock with zero adulterations; zilch, none, nada, not even a twiddle of damper or sag, then it would be the Honda.
If I was allowed to twiddle and alter from the exterior, then the RR still..
If I was only allowed to play with the stock stuff, internally, externally; re-design bits and pieces, but not swap over shock body to aftermarket, nor exchange the cartridges in the fork; then it would be the R6.
And if no holds barred, and I could do whatever I wanted, then I would choose the one which BLOODY fit me long-ish limbs best!!! :lmao:

Never ridden a 07 600RR but if it were for the road I would probably rather it then the R6. For my frame, the R6 is too racy for the road, the engines a dog unless its geared.
For the track, R6 hands down. But, the 06 and 07's have reports of main bearing failures when used heavily on the track. This has been fixed on the 08's but fucked if I would use an 08 bike as a track bike
