does anyone know a company I could contact for long distance transport for my bike? I'm going back up to sydney, but only briefly to resign from work and whatnot. I tried Motomotion and a place called Bikes Only but the minimum for that was $450, which is alot when I'm not working and have everything else to pay for on top of that. I heard from a family friend that you can get bikes transported in shipping containers on trains for long distance and it was relatively cheap.

any other ideas?

cheers,
Julz

+ 1 for ride it.
If not,
Give Rod Pilon transport a call. They have a Sydney depot and run to Wagga Wagga.
See what price he will do a backload for.

good luck getting it on a train and in a create for less than 450.
as you need a crete have to drain fluids then transport bike from where it is creted to train depot then from train in wagga to your house..

cheapest way may be on a trailer on a car and u buy a ticket and ride with it
that was gonna be the only way i could get my bike from perth to sydney on a train so i sold it instead was cheaper and easier..

take a day and ride it

a 114KG 125cc bike for 2 score shy of 500K's with a learner riding it?
sounds a little crazy, imagine how much I'd get throw around by trucks passing in addition to the fact that traffic will be moving at 110KPH and I can only do 80 :p

if I could get one in wagga I'd do that, as far as I know their isn't a dealer in wagga that sells them.

I was gonna order the parts from honda/ wherever and get them mailed down, most of the parts I can put on myself. would you be able to do me a favor and get a photo of the clutch assembly, rus said the mount for it is broken or something like that. Then post the photo up on here? I'll find out what it's called exactly, so I can get a price on how much it will be to repair. and Bart, I'll try and organise for you to pick up my bike, if you still can, when I'm up in syd in two weeks or so :)
