I admit I'm not a BMW fan & never have been but that HP2 has changed my mind I love it :ayyy:
(but I still wouldn't buy one)

Yes that HP2 is something else, isn't it? One for BeemerBoy perhaps?

I think they all look pretty good. We're really spoilt for choice these days aren't we.

I wonder how much extra the gold wheels and A sticker cost on the 675SE?
my gues would be 5K

Triumph will partecipate to the World Supersport Championship next year (the one that usually runs in between Race1 and Race2 of WorldSBK). team Caracchi, currently racing on Ducati, will be 100% supported by the English factory.
No news on the pilots yet.

Like I was telling 749Dark at the track, my choice for a track bike would either be the 1098 or the Triumph.
Isn't BMW entering the racing too next year, DanOz? I think I saw their GP bike on a blog somewhere (or maybe SBK)?

PS. Welcome back mate.

I've read that they're preparing to enter WSB next year in a 'development' programme with a full-on assault in 2009.

A video of the beemer, not much: http://thumbs.vidiac.com/comment/2d0c180b-0c24-455c-ac9c-99b800d3d97a.jpg (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2d0c180b-0c24-455c-ac9c-99b800d3d97a.htm)

Re racing in 2009, I imagine they would use a bike based on the HP2 S, here's the race version:

Hopefully they will put the equivalent of knee sliders on the heads, although thta's gotta be close to the point of no return:

The rider has no knee sliders....
they are on the cylinder heads.... :)

Bloody good rider, and pretty pretty track (from the scenery it looks like they are in Spain).
Ciao

There's something very nice about this bike though - I think it's the sound. OK it's no Ducati, but it's different.

Here's the last of the promo videos:

Finally a close-up. You know, I think the sliders REALLY are on the cylinder heads ...
