My beloved and I are heading down on the Wednesday and stopping at Bright for the night then heading down. An interesting group of bikes will be in attendance including an MV312R, Turbocharged GSXR1000, and a Honda Rune. And god only knows what other new machinery the boys have been given to play with. It will be a fast, scary and entertaining trip down.
I've just taken delivery of a cool new bike camera mount so I'll be trying to keep up in a vain attempt to get some decent footage.

I'll be riding down with a group from Bikers Anon, pretty much the same schedual but NFI where we are overnighting it on the way down. I "think" we are in the Gardner Straight stand, or domething to that effect. I got asked to flag as well at the last minute, but bugger that. If I flag martial I cant drink. Hmmmm decissions decissions.
Im geting a lift with Bigdog & Falco, I only have genral admission. I know Im a tight ass! so if anyone want to meet up and walk a mile or 2 around PM me for my number too.

Safe trip guys and get us few good shots of Stoner and ROSSI please:ayyy::drool:
Had a great time at the PI. Went down with a group called the Viagra Tourers from Wollongong (38 riders in total with some pillons) Rode down in a group of 5 to the island.
Left Thursday morning and caught up with the group at East Lynne just north of Batemans Bay. Down to Narooma and Bermagui & Tathra and then on to Candelo and Wyndham and then on to the twisties to Bombala. This section of road is awesome and sometimes scary as some bends seem to go on forever. We come across a rider that over shot a corner and his bike went down the embankment. Cops and Ambulance were there so there was little we could do.
From Bombala we headed down to Cann River and this section of road is probably one of my favourite rides. Just sweeping bends and really no tight corners to get yourself into trouble. On to Nowa Nowa and then we headed up to Bruthen and back to Bairnsdale. From there we went to Dargo which is about 90km off the Princess Hwy. The road to Dargo is fantastic and we stayed there on Thursday night and had a great time at the pub.
Rained all day Friday and went via Bengworden to Sale and on to Traralgon and took the Strrzelecki Hwy down to Leongatha and Wonthaggi. We stayed at Cowes and could walk to the main street and pub.
The racing wasn't the best but the atmosphere was awesome. People were everywhere. Caught up with Bigdog, Falco & Jacs on the Sunday morning at Serbia. Also saw Zipper & Chaddo at the Honda & Suzuki expo.
On Monday I left PI at 7.00am and walked into my door at 7.00pm. So it was a long day of riding. Riding up the Monaro Highway from Cann River I came across all sorts of clothes on the road for about 1km. Finally came across a rider & pillon who just realised that he has just left all his stuff along the road in Victoria. Don't know if he went back for it.
Saw a number of cops along the way and was lucky not to get picked up just outside of Cooma but the Highway patrol only flashed his lights to tell me to slow down. Hoping I don't get a letter in the mail in the near future from any Victorian roadside radars.
Some photo's of the trip.......

Nice write up BART, thanx for sharing, enjoyed reading that, the route you guys took and all, pics too :ayyy:
On a side note to this. I went for a litle ride this afternoon, and many guys where returning from P/I obviously. As I was riding along pennant hills rd normanhurst. I saw this bloke with bike all kitted up, pushing bike on footpath, covered in sweat (was bloody hot), coming back from P/I, well pulled over immediately to see whats wrong. Turned out bike would no longer hold charge ( battery, reg rec?), and he was going to push it to, wait for it Hornsby, now thats ten k away atleast, So I got him to unplug headlights, to help with keeping drain to minumum, gave him a push to jump start it, and lead him to Horsnby.
I swear, I could not believe the amount of riders that went past this poor bloke without even seeing if he needed a hand, which he obviously did. Thats wrong !
Then later went for my ride, and damn, cops everywhere, waiting to make everyone feel back at home with some pressy's :cursing:

That is SO wrong, riders should help other riders when/if they can. I always stop if i see a bike being pushed, cant help it, its just the right thing to do!!

Ohh yeah, thats a thought! I have stopped three times for 'run out of fuel', once for 'flat tyre' and a couple of times for 'just wont go!' All were legit, hot, geared up and very pissed off.

Great write-up Bart, made me very jealous with the route that you took on the way there and the action at the track. Great photo's as well :ayyy:

another excellent week at PI, top trip on the way down, except for this fuckin massive huntsman spider that crawled out from under the seat, screamed and tried to flick it off towards Tom's bike. LOL he stalled his bike tryin to get away. fuckin spiders................. creepy. we couldn't find it in the dark so I thought we got it.
on the way back........... I went and got a new front tyre, the bike was on the stands, front tyre off. then I scream like a fuckin big girl, I was standin beside the bike when the same massive huntsman crawls out from under the seat onto the tank. tried to flick it of and screamed again, laughed heaps too. the fellas pissed themselves. it crawled back under the seat. we took it off and laced in,out,on,under and around the arse end. 2 minutes later the fucker fell out in a ball into the ground. 1 of the boys skished it for me. gave me the creeps knowin it was there, probably was there the whole time from when i left home.
we left monday mornin around 9ish stopped at bombala. we got our accomodation at the Manaroo just before Zippa, Skip and the other 7 got there. lucky us. any who, next mornin we set off for cooma for breakfast. got there 9ish just to be tole by a local that the road to Bredbo was closed due to a faltality, pushbike and truck at 4am. we got told about a back road with a bit of dirt that would only add an hour to our trip. so we tottered off. through Numeralla and some fuckin place I don't really remember because of the 63 FUCKIN K's OF DIRT. shit myself twice thinkin me n the bike was gunna endup in a heap. ended up in some place Gundaroo then into the back of Goulburn. got home 3pm. bit worried about covering the bike again as another spider might make a new home for itself.
will have to do somethin different next year, like NO pests.

Bwahahaha, you got suckered in by the Cafe I see:lmao: . We only did 40 odd K's of dirt by riding through to Breadbo and hanging a right at the outskirts of town. Wasn't bad dirt either as we managed to average 75kph along that stretch. But it wasnt the first batch of dirt on our trip so we were probably more acostomed to it than you.:ayyy:
HOWEVER!!!!!
Latter on while refueling at Golburn we were informed that a large group of riders had gone up to the crash site to see what was going on and got waved through. Bastards.:wtf1:
