I mentioned this in the EC ride day thread (which was deleted), but i just want to confirm again:
As my A'star top doesn't have the zipper for pants, will i need to get a taylor to sew up a zip? (i.e.does EC regulations say that top + bottom need have a zip or button up?)
which leads me on 2 my next question: i was trying out the A'star track pants (size 50), and they're ok (bit tight 4 my liking but the guy says they need 2 be snug)... though for 600 a pop, i'm abit hesitant in getting some. i did try on a set of shift pants, but i do prefer the A'star. Anyone know where to get decent set of A'star pants, at a reasonable price?
... looks like i need to head down to livo MCA and visit this "nathan" guy :)
almost prepped for Next sat'dy, can't wait.

The rules for Eastern Creek are the pants and jacket must zip together or be a one piece suit.
I bought my A'Stars pants from the US from an extremely large dealer via ebay. If you search ebay.com you see who the dealers are. This was @ 2 years ago but they were delivered to my door for @ $350 !!! They have gone up a bit since then but I just checked ebay and you can have the pants delivered for under $500. My pants were really uncomfortable when I got them but they do stretch a bit and now they are perfect!!!

Chaser, was it 'flyinbriansdeals' I got my AStar pants and MX jacket for A$1K delivered... very good prices, but you need to write asking what is your BEST price... he'll then look after you.
P.s. I bought my jacket OUTSIDE of eBay and it arrived, so I'd say hes very trustworthy.
Heres his email address: brian@flyinbriansdeals.com

<sigh> sorry, but another update, and another problem :(...
well i got myself a pair of cheap Rjays Diablo pants (270 a pop) after justifying to myself that this was the same as the rest of the pants at 1/2 the price. The problem is: my jacket doesn't have any zip on, and i've talked around a few fabric altering places, they say its going to be hard. first thing i need to find the other end of the zipper which lincraft/other craft stores don't have, so i need to contact rjays and hopefully they'll help me source out the place where i can get the other half... next step is to get someone to stich the zipper on so that it doesn't ruin the jacket. also need too add a bit of stretchy material.
Ahhh, fingers cross i'll be able to get it all done by sat'dy.

You should be right mate as long as the pants and jacket look like they are done up they won't check i.e bum crack showing though pants they will ask questions.I myself have just bought new leathers two peace that zip into one but before that i was using just a two peace leathers and not once did i get asked about it in the last 14 track days.
I will also say that i did sew the zipper to my jacket just in case they did ask me if i had one.I did the job myself from what i remembered from home economics in high school:D
