I stumpbled across this while procrastinating. Here are some spy pics of what will perhaps be the ZX250. These photos were taken in barcellona and confirmation was given by a local dealer that a new 250 was about to be released...

Sure beats the look of the GPX and ZZR.

Hope it is a remake (engine wise) of the old zxr250 and not another shitty commuter. We need more 250 sports.

Heh, Yamaha and Honda both have new 125cc sports styled learners bikes, and Kwakka says naah, stuff that, we'll got with a 250, I like it.

Admittedly thats a result of the intended market, the Yam and the Honda are both aimed at the UK learners market, whereas the Kwak is aimed at the US, where the gpx250 has been a consistant seller for a long long time (They call it a Ninja 250, and you can bet thats what this one will be badged as over there). I'd be very supprised if it didn't show up here, probably replacing both the zzr and the gpx, not sure what they'll call it though.

It is about time they had some decent new 250 - I guess with so many people getting their licence its no wonder. How long can some of those import 250 last - CBR250, FZR250, ZXR250 are all getting a bit old, even the last of the Australian model CBR 250's would make them 10 yrs old!!!!!!

Where is the better suspension - if they have a serious 250 for the road I would buy one to carve up the twisites without the temptation to high speed that is on tap with the 1000cc category

Remember that its more fun to go fast on a small bike than it is slow on a big bike :D

The insane prices of ancient 4 cylinder japanese 250cc motorcycles in NSW is bound to crash, hard.
