Thought I'd just say a huuuge thanks to JasonBW and Brendan for helping me with some work on the GSXR last night… not only did these guys come around to my place the other week and tinker with the suspension, last night they also helped me change over tires, AND replace the fork oil as well!...

Apart from some interesting film footage shown (that has permanently scarred my eyes!), we found out one of my fork internals wasn't connected properly, and the fork oil was that cruddy and old that it made sump oil look clean!....

Just thought I'd make public what I've known for a while.. These guys are definitely a rare breed, and are top shelf!. :ayyy:

Thanks again!.

awww shucks.. thanks mate.. more than welcome... thing is, I have the proper tools, and enough basic knowledge to manage those jobs so why not 'share the love'.

As for the footage... I'm regretting it now :)

That tyre changer works a treat hey... hows that for a completely scratchless perfect tyre changer for $160... tops hey!

P.s. I couldnt find your old fork oil (sludge) this morning, I think it got up and ran away.

Hey ! Always glad to help mate !

And like Jase says, the right tools help... and yes i realise the irony in me saying that after I forgot my tools and had to take my front wheel off with a sparkplug spanner and a bent eye bolt... :-)

It worked didn't it !!!

Jase's workshop is the best, video footage excluded...

:-)

Yeah, good to publicly acknowledge.
Some guys go beyond the call.
We all get caught in a bind at times and invariably some genuinely decent people stick their hands up for no other reason but to help someone.

A few of us have been caught in that bind in recent times and its worthy of mention when we do get helped out.

I know Jason has stuck his hand up a couple of times in the last week.

Its stories like these that should encourage all of us.

When any of us get the chance we should take the opportunity to put a bit back in.

Take a bow guys.

Well done Jason & Brendon. It's great that we can help each other out.

What are you guys like with paint work. I will pm you my address and see you on the weekend. If I am not here , can you finish the paint job on the trackie for me that I started and just can't seem to finish. :D

Thank you! but I wasnt in it to help, I got to get my hands dirty and use power tools late into the night with some great company :)

So just to sum up what we have, a tyre changer and fork service tools that let you easily change the fork oil or swap fork springs, make spacers etc etc. Nothing special but if anyone wants to use them or work with me on doing the job then you're more than welcome.

thanks Mick, that was tops !

I think Kellz and Dungy love doing paintwork Bart :) After the schmick job you did on your Zed I would expect you'd have got your trackie looking sweet!

Jason and Brendan are quite simply tops! Always there to help and share their extensive knowledge about bikes.
