Doohan and Criville at Eastern Creek

Yesterday while we were at Oran Park waiting the decision on calling the Ride Day off or not, topic for discussion was if Oran Park was more fun than Eastern Creek on a motorbike....
Some people were saying that Eastern Creek doesn't have overtaking points if you are a good rider racing another good rider....
and soon the example went to the famous race Doohan Vs Criville back in 1996 :ayyy:

Funny how a video can bring back so many memories.

We were on corporate hill and had a full view of this (racing incident) and I still remember shouting out NOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife was with me and she still doesn't understand it.

I was there too and like everyone else couldnt believe what had happened. :confused: The crowd let Criville know he was not welcome on the podium. :cursing:
