Well, as i'm sure most kow ive had to do some mechanical work on my bike which involved removing the engine from the bike, however now that that has been sorted,i've now found myself painted into another corner, when it comes to the electrical side of things, i only know so much, and obviously at this point in time, i dont k now enough about it to get this damn machine running again, so if anyone knows what it would be that's stoppping the ignition leads from firing up the spark plugs and there for making the bike run, PLEASE share your wisdom:confused1: :confused1: :confused1: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :hatter: :hatter:
:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:
yes, there are all the things i have tried doing to get my bike running but they still arent working:(

what have you tryde. Do you have power at the coils?

i've have me a bike that wont fire:lmao: as for what i've tried and tested, i've tried following to main power supply wires to where they lead, and everything seemed to be ok there, but for some reason i have just found that the leads are not getting power, there for no spark through the plug, there for no fuel being ignited, and i've got no ideas about the coils, however if your familiar with the bike, then there is like a switch block or something just infront of the battery above the computer that now has a nice big rattle in it, which for some reason i dont think it should have:thinking:

i think that "switch block" is your realay bank. It could be just the one for the ignition blown. Is this your track bike? has all the wiring for the lights been removed as you maybe able to pinch the realay for the lights and swap to the ignition. Just check that thay have the same numburs on them. Can you here the fuel pump prime when you turn on the key?

You've got the manual on your computer,, there will be a trouble shooting section in the back, have a look there, for sure it will have a wont start, no spark problem.
Check ALL of the plugs, make sure none of the pins in the sensors or bent over and that the pins in the plugs are all pushed up and tight, the wires havent backed out of the plugs. Make sure everything is in the right place, none of the wires are stretched etc etc. It will be something simple, just ask fully about the tiller
If all else fails....you know what im gonna say :ninja:

Pop a plug out, put the ignition lead/cap back onto it, hold the electrode against a grounded part of the frame and turn her over, do it with minimal lighting so you can see a spark if there is one. Tell us if there is as it'll likely be fuel delivery if there is a spare.
Do you have a multimeter?

fuel delivery is not a problem, just yet anyway, i've done all the tests to see if there is any spark comeing through and there is none, when i turn the key on, and flick the kill switch to on, i can hear the relay click and the fuel pump wind like it would if there was nothing wrong with it, and pete, i've tried using the trouble shooting section, and checked everywhere that it says, and eveything is good where it says to test, but i dont know about the ecu plugs cause theres just so many damn wires in there:thinking:
and yes, i have thought about doing what you would say, insure and burn the bloody thing:lmao:

Thats so frustrating for you, not sure where to start then. I guess you have checked the voltages the book told you? Damn mate, sorry!

thanks mate, but yeah, i have checked everywhere that i could understand, but like i said, as for the comp wires, i have no idea on where to start, oh yeah, as for the road wiring, it is all still there, just disconected and cable tied up out of the way

that rattling box isnt the tip over switch is it? that will cut the ignition if it is tripped or faulty....and they rattle when ya shake them, which prolly aint real good for them!!
i have a spare here if ya need one off my tl, dunno if it will fit the gixxer...

That was my immediate thought but that would be too simple.....
If your engine is not even winding over,it sound like some safety cut of switch....with the Gixers its useualy the side stand switch,by pass that & see what happens.....

Side stand switches are pretty common, but really could be anything.
