Well I have the lap record for New Era/Pre Modern now a 1:06.1 so I think the guys will lift there game for next time.
I also think some big engines will come out next time to as we will be on the new bigger track.
But anyway it's been great to race at this fun little track and all New Era/Pre Modern guys are great.

On another note, while there the Circuit owner decided to let 2 of the guys have 3-4 laps around the new cicuit to see what they thought, so on Saturday afternoon after all the racing had finished off they went.
These guys loved the new layout and even with dust all over the new part they did 1min 35sec and expect easily to knock this down to 1min 25sec.
Where the new cicuit rejoins with the old there is a nice rise which saw both of their front wheels easily lifting as they crested. With a bit more speed there we may even see two wheels coming off the deck for sec with will make for get spectating.

Taken from one of the organisers off a Brisbane website, sounds like its pretty much finished with the extensions!
What did you think after seeing it MUZZ?

I think it looks great, fast and flowing down the hill into a well banked corner and then up onto the straight and try and brake for turn one, should be fun.

so is this correct what i'm hearing from up there that a motard qualified P1 for the open class and was told he wasnt allowed to race coz the BMW's got there nose out of joint. GO THE "SXV"

As a club we were happy to have him race in whatever class he wanted, certainly he was fast enough to win or place in F1 even though he had an F3 bike. He was in the same motel as some us were in and on Thursday night he came out to dinner and drinks with a couple of us. He'd joined the club before racing on Saturday, a very decent bloke and good on him for joining.

Any problem with him changing formula was not of our club's doing, it was solely at the discretion if the race officials. I don't know if it was the complaint of the beemer team because they may not have even known that he intended to change formula? I believe it is part of a larger problem up there between motards and sports bike racers at that track.
