I'm a member of St. George MCC but I want to race in PCRA. Is my membership transferrable? Or do I need to join PCRA? Can I race in PCRA with my St.G membership? (I assume the points don't count then.. ?)

Thanks..

ALMCC is probably Annandale Leichardt Motor Cycle Club, which most of the sidecar boys belong to.

What did you find out Cedric?

Im looking at doing the St George meeting at EC November 13/14 & then the PCRA 1 Hr round the following weekend at WP.
From what I can gather I can race at the St George meeting with a PCRA membership but can't race at the PCRA meeting with a St George membership.
Further more the PCRA membership expires Dec 31st where the St George one is valid for a calender year starting from the date of issue.
St George membership is $25. PCRA is $55.

The short of it is that I have to pay the $55 & join the PCRA in order to attend 2 meetings. That's a bit rude from the PCRA in my eyes.

I could just skip the PCRA meeting but its a chance to race with my brother for the 1st time which we both have been looking forward to.

Ive had a look at the Motorcycling NSW site & they have a list of clubs but they don't specify which each is valid for.
Anyone know a way around this? Is there another club I can join to that will enable me to race at both meetings & doesn't turn to dust at the stroke of midnight NYE?

Any ideas?

you dont need to be a member of PCRA to race at there meeting. you just dont score points. this is my 1st yr i have had a PCRA membership(i also have a st george 1 and a MMCC and a go kart 1 and a motard 1 ) coz i was doing the whole series. remember if theres no members theres no club then theres no racing.

OK. So I can race at the PCRA meeting with a St George membership but don't get any points. Cool. Thanks for clarifying that for me Wetty :ayyy:

I understand clubs need paying members to stay afloat & appreciate what the clubs do for racing but I also think they should be making it easier for more riders to attend their meetings.
