Only thing I'd say to watch for is there is not too bigger jump in the profile from stock if you haven't got a ride height adjustment with your shock.
I went from a 50 profile stock rear to a 60 profile Dunlop and it caused massive head shake at 260kph+

I'm looking for a 55 profile for the 17th and I think Pirelli have one (I better pull my finger out) but a 55 will fix my head shake issues.

Not sure with profiles on a 600 but someone will chime in.

Either way, just get em, awesome traction, I took 3 secs off my PB at the Creek first time I used them, scary first lap if you haven't got warmers:eyecrazy:

Pick a brand, you will stick like shit to a blanket.:ayyy:

Mick, I now have Pirelli SC1 and SC2 and the rear is a 190/55 and i notied a big diff straight up. I have been told that power race are/have brought out a 190/55 as well.

i have only used the bridgey slix, and mine are an older version that we got cheap...but neither me nor hatters have had them let go!!!
i have some sort of dunlop road tyres on my 600 now that have awesome amounts of grip and i also have a couple of front dunlop slix that im gonna be using in the future....i am very impressed with the dunlops also so far...
in the end, they all stick ridiculuosly well, so get what ever is cheapest...ill be trying shinkos when my stash has run out!!

I cant rave about the Pirelli`s enough.

SC1 front and SC2 rear is what I`ve got for the 17th,awesome tyre IMHO. For just track day riding look at Bridgestone and or Pirelli. These 2 brands are pretty much the same price. As long as the secret service lets people know when they are looking at tyres again and everyone can make their minds up on sizes.I can try to get a group deal going again.I have 2 possiable places who are willing to do group deals, but must have a min of 10 sets. I`ll be buying 2 sets myself ,so only need 8 more.

Im up for a new set of Bridgestone slicks in the very near future for the 400. Will just need to double check the size when I get the bike back. Group deal sounds like a plan:ayyy:

I've got bridgeys at home, got them for the zx9r and couldnt have been happier, they will be going on the zx6r soon.
have a look at this thread on trakdaze, if these fit you're saving atleast $50 a set on the bridgey slicks, I think me, yella and bigdog paid $450 each fitted a little while ago

Yeah I would use CW but a bit of a pain being in canberra ;)

The slicks on the bike at the moment are good for another day, still a fair bit left on them.... or I might just go and lash out on a new set.... not sure yet.... Although I am having the suspension rebuilt at the moment :) Pick it back up monday :)

Although I can get Craig to ship them to me, then get them fitted here....

Yeah Bridgestone slicks are pretty good, if you have a few people after them then Craig gives you a discount. Poyda was close, the three of us paid $430 each fitted.

The bridgeys let go all the time, but they give you warning, i run them down to the canvas almost too. They are quite cheap and come in the 55ish rear.
I have also heard that michelin will have a 55 rear soon.
The higher profile on my bike caused some headshake insanity until I al helped me remove a shim from on top of the rear shock. Now everything is perfect. Look out 17th trackday!

Yeah, I had a set of dodgy dave's dodgy deathslicks, that he gave me on the gixxer. He'd done a few trackdays on them, then I didWakefield practice, then the 5 hr, then EC trackday, and finally destroyed them at PI. Good longevity, and they only started getting really slippery when below the bottom of the wear markers, although I did highside on them once at wakefield.
