So, anyone know where I can get this fin thing for the sprocket? Once I remove the side stand, what does a single bloke do to get the bike around? Is there some other kind of way to help with the lack of side stand - that thing saves me alot!

+1. I use one on the gixxer, and it really help manoeuvring the bike around at home.

Why take the sidestand off? Surely it doesn't add that much weight to the bike ... and don't tell me it's rubbing when you lean?

Capt, you've gotta. Race rules... no idea why...

Kris it not that hard - I've yet to drop one (becuase of this - just don't try wheeling around on the stands) BTW One of the BEARS guys only has one leg ... gets bike on and off stand by himself - then into wheel chair then fits leg (it's a real show)

I would only remove the stand for scrut/race ... it's only one bolt!

i take my stand off overytrack day, on the 06-07 zx10s it sits out next to the swingarm and scrapes.

i hate taking it off, but as stated its only one bolt (2 if you memove the backet)

hardest bit is when you come in and have a bit of jelly legs and try and hop off and hold it haha

Wattie, that jelly legs is exactly what im talking about :D I get that alot, especially when its crazy hot. Now doing cycling to improve the legs ;)

The problem with gixxers is the race fairing design prohibits using a sidestand. I've been spoiled with the Blade having a stand. I'm going back to a gixxer now and will really miss my sidestand!!

Yeah JP is piss funny - crashed into the wall off the start at OP last year - when the medicos arrived and asked how he was he says "my leg hurts" the guy nearly shat himself apparently when he noticed only one leg! :) :lmao: :) :lmao: :) :lmao: :) :lmao: :) :lmao:

Races are about 1/2 a trackday session ie 6 lapper at EC you're only on full noise for < 12Min (or 10min if your proper fast) plus there are always a couple of people around to help if your seriously f'd up

Funny bastard - thought he did well to get over the fence and off the track! Goes alright ON the track too though:

i was marshaling over the other side of the circuit, when i saw him launch himself over the fence i thought shit! he lost his leg!

was funny when i sms'd my mrs, saying a guy crashed and only has 1 leg. i informed her later that he didnt have it to start with...

He's quite handy at Wakefield too... inspiring to watch on track and in the Pits... esp when loading up his bike unassisted

6 hour maybe but most club meets are sprint races ... Some times you get to lap 4 and just wish it was over (that why I go slow so I'll get lapped and do less laps :) )

You can only have longer sprint stuff if you start including 107% cut off etc and no promotor want to send punters home - in endurance there is not normally a fairing to fairing race to the checked flag so lapped riders are less of an issue

4!?@ Geeh :D I wont even complete a race, they'd have done 4 laps by the time i do 1
