What do you reckon is the best time you can get on a standard new model Supersport (ZX6R, R6, GSXR600, CBR600) at Eastern Creek for a 600 and a 1000

On Pilot Powers, Bridgestone BT-002 or the like, not slicks.

Where is the limit roughly on the bikes these days?

Standard
- Brakes
- Suspension (with some dialling in)
- Engine
- Weight

1.40 possible. Have a look at the times they do in superstock? They use road-race control tyres and aren't allowed much in the way of modification from stock. I'm sure someone will post the link to last years times if you can't find it.

Ahhh cool, yeah I've looked at the Superstock times on the aus-superbikes site, really low 1:40's

Cheers

i know it would be no record but i was happy to do a 1.50 on pilot powers on my cbr 600 with a slip on the only modification done....

yip ive seen WG do a 1.44 with a 90kg guy on the back on a stock 1000 blade so i wouldnt doubt his ability to break 1.40 with no balast on the back:ayyy:

Pilot Powers seem to be the weapon of choice.

Pilot Powers seem to be the weapon of choice.

If your going for it at the track with your road bike, use the pilot power 2CT, they have amazing grip on the edges.

i heard that stauffer did 1.34 or something on a stock r1 with dots. don't know where i heard it. but he also has the outright bike lap record with a 1.29 on his racebike so i believe it for now.

Stauffers new lap record at the creek is 1:30.321 :ayyy:

I wonder who will be the first to go sub 1.30???

I reckon I could quite easily crack 45 given a new 600 and good tyres and if I didn't have to pay for it if I binned it
