You guys are missing the point, there should be a thread about it, a pre meet, pre meet, a designation of uniforms (draggins, textile jackets) bikes should be washed and scrubbed.
You should be milling around entrance / exit points @ homebush, there should be rim stickers, and you should all be collecting as many promotional magazines and stickers as possible.
What about manning a stall? where is this exuberant motorcycle spirit that is injected into our rectum once we purchase a bike?

disappointing.

What's worse is I heard if you crash one on a public road you not only get neg driving but also charge for assult'n battery.

If the world was full of electric bikes and there was the advent of piston engine bikes upon us wouldnt you laugh your guts out at the absurd complexity of combustion engines.

what do you mean the batteries look big and cumbersome ??????
thats the most vague thing Ive ever heard.
The batteries are actually small and they do in fact need to be bigger.
The road reg version and so much dead space in the frame area I was wondering who designed the thing. Definitely was not a designer.

The road reg version and so much dead space in the frame area I was wondering who designed the thing. Definitely was not a designer.

Thats the thing, obviously the people designing have not had enough money to develope their own frames... if they did there would be no dead space... one day someone will design a frame for battery's or design battery's to be curved like the frames to fill the space... until then it's just putting one product in another, it will never match, but when both designed together, they will fit :)

I've love an electric bikeconcept, accept in traffic... imagine how quiet they will be , cars will never know where you are.... specially in sydney traffic....

next time your in traffic and you see a Ford Territory, listen to how much noise it makes..........total silence.
Car drivers never know where you are not because your quiet but because they have their heads shoved up their holes

I'm told there is one new bike on show: Fisher MRX

The Fischer MRX, the new all-US designed and built sports bike, will have its debut at the Sydney Motorcycle Show, for the lucky Aussies who’ll get to see it and some of the other new models that also appeared at the 2009 EICMA show last week.

The Fischer MRX is a liquid-cooled sports bike with a single-piece Grand Prix chassis (the world’s first according to the company), with 80 hp and 52 Nm of torque. Other features are:

• All-American made aluminum die-cast chassis components
• Injection molded parts including the multi-function central cold ram air intake ducts (assembled in the USA)
• Roto-molded (in the USA) fuel cells (R version has optional see-through fuel cell).
• Available hand-laid carbon fiber and fiberglass body components.
(Developed and fitted in the USA by former USA aerospace industry senior engineers)
• V-cast multi-function subframes (Designed and manufactured in the USA).

Fischer MRX = glorified Hyosung (same engine, and it appears the same front suspension as well).

Is it the NA version they are displaying or the proposed supercharged version?

Greggy-68
21-11-2009, 11:09 AM
6-7K premium over the hyosung. Looks good, but tooooo much. You would think they would do a recast engine cover.......

Front Susp was different, as were brakes, why would you spend that much when for the same money you buy 1 1 year old CBR or something, still under warranty.
