View Full Version : Painters
I know Muzz does fairings but just wondering if anyone here knows of any painters who will do fairings in 2pac for a good price a bit closer to the city? Ill do all the prep work (sanding etc) no fancy work, just 1 single color for the entire pieces
Any panel beaters or people with spraybooths? Cant imagine it costing more than $200 for a coat of paint.
Thanks guys

Being a track bike with possible on going paint repairs (fingers crossed it won't need it again) but buy yourself a compressor and some spray guns, would cost not much more than what u will pay to have it painted but will pay off down the track no pun intended...
Your rattle can job look good for what it was so with the right equipment it would be good as anyone elses.

+1, but why worry about if you upset him or not, he knows he's going to come off many more times, so the frangipinni idea may be way to go :) .

The paint for just the spokes on my wheels was $170
Frangipani stickers I bought yesterday...just for your bike. Surprisingly it states "Ideal for cars, motorcycles.........etc"
One very large one measuring more than 200mm and some smaller ones just to get the effect right. You do know they have to be clear coated on :confused1:

mate your looking at around 100 bucks a liter for just the colour, then theres hardners ,reducers, clears if your using them it all adds up
and then labour costs
good luck getting it done for 200$

Kris..The harder you push and the faster you get, the higher your chances of an off are..
Sorry and with no offence to many others here, Kris has only 4-5 trackdays under his belt, and his laptimes are a second or two off, if not better than many with 20-30 days under them, so he is pushing and is quick .
Kris isnt out there to look pretty by having a 100% job ( Frangipinni stickers may suggest otherwise, lol), he's out there to have fun, and hell yeah he does, a $2 rattle can job is enough if you ask me, cause its not going to be long till the next off ( no offence Kris, but you know it).

paintin up a Ninja in the next few months. 2 litres 2pac with metalic base coat, reducer, hardner and clear top coat and 1 litre solid colour for the wheels $450!
Acrylic is almost half the price.
Acrylic is shit thats why

Although I do believe it is easier to sand and repair in the case of an off? yeah its not as stone chip resistent etc but its the track?

actually its harder to repair than two pack
acylic goes all soft and doughy when you sand it
and then shrinks back around your repair areas
two pack is alot harder product unlike acylic which acually softens when it gets hot
