They've been teasing us with this bike, releasing just one photo, which you have probably already seen (not that much different from the current one):

now we have a photo from the rear:

They might be notoriously unreliable, they might burn your bum while you're riding, but damn it's a good looking bike. And they always perform so well in track comparisons.

i have a big thing against MV.
They put nothing back into the sport. If you buy a ducati you pay a premium price, and weather you think that price is worth paying or not you are helping to fund the racing side of the company. Ducati have generally been a race bike company that sells road motorcycles to fund there racing. . . . . much like Ferrari.
But MV Augusta you pay an even bigger price but i dont see what they are putting back in.
they have been muting a return to WSBK for yrs now and i personally cant see it happening.
Great looking bikes though. . .

Maybe there still around becouse they don't blow a heap a cash on a race team that will not sell them any more bikes. Win on sunday sell on monday stoped working years ago so why would they invest in it.
There not puting anything in to motor sport or there bikes realy they haven't changed much over the last few years but fuck if I had the cash I'd own one.
Is it just me, or does the tank and nose cone look alot like the Hyosung 650?
definately looks like a hyosung to me ... hmmmm but room in the garage for seven ...

When I win powerball I will be buying a pre 2010 model. I love the arse end of these things but those square pipes are pox. Why change the sexiest bit of kit?

Win on Sunday sell on Monday still works, look how many people ride GSXR's in USA since they always seem to win the AMA.

That maybe true but you need to sell your whole range and as Harley is no1 in the US and Yamaha is no2 in total sales win on sunday sell on monday's not doing to well.

The only reason to buy a MV is for a collectors item because there not going to be around for much longer is my prediction so parts could become a major issue.
The F4 has always been a very good looking bike & as a package is one of the most fun bikes to throw a leg over for about one hour then it all goes down hill. The ergonomics suck, the heat is unbearable & any F4 before 08 the engine fairing covers would turn to flexible jelly from the heat.

damn... that's not good... it'd be a bit of a shock if Yamaha bit the dust. But in this climate, no-one's safe.
edit: Not that I'm saying they're at risk of doing so.

some people buy because of race pedigree and others buy because they research the power/weight ratio and parts costs.
I think I would rather have 3 bikes - GIXR, R1 and fireblade for the same price as one MV Agusta.
I'd love to take one for a spin to see what all the fuss is about but.

Those days are a thing of the past, technology has made all bikes weopons, and anyone who buys based on power to weight ratio (ie, the bigger modern bikes), should stop kidding themselves as they're only buying for wank factor of saying there bike is the most powerfull, now if only they/ any of us here for that matter, can ride any of the latest weopons to their potential... its not going to happen....
its the wank factor v's cosmetically appealing nowadays..and thankgod we all have different tastes :)

Please tell the back story :dancesmiley:
On the third radiator, third set of exhaust slip ons...
Parts replaced:
Front fairing (crack)
Rear ducktail (melted near exhaust)
Standard fans (plastic, known to melt)
Parts that have fallen off:
Side Heel Guard
Side Fairing Knee piece
Injector Cover
Rear Hugger
Time at workshop:
6 weeks last September
5 weeks in January
Currently 5 weeks and counting
* Picked it up brand new in Sep 08 - been in the shop or off the road for at least 3-4 months of the past 12.
* Importer doesn't hold parts
* Dealer doesn't know how to call the "customer" back and inform them of progress
* Australia has no "lemon" law - so you can by a $30 toaster and return it in 12 months if it stops working, but buy a $35k bike and have just about everything fuck up or fall off and there is not much you can do.
ps, the joy when the radiator splits (twice) and dumps the radiator over the back tyre...or even better, when the hugger falls off and jams between the swingarm and the rear tyre.

Scroll across to the right, you can see a fair bit of the bike. Interesting, from what I can see it looks hot ... but if I was worried about reliability before, no-way I'm going anywhere near it now :(

Mounts break through too much vibration - titanium, so they can't weld them.

why not ??
You can weld it, its just that its very hard and the majority of welders dont have the skill or equipment to do it (myself included).

its a buell!!
heavier and less powerful than previous gen
good one Harley
Apart from reliability issues in the past I think it looks great. I was looking at the new RSV4 or something exotic like the MV for early next year. I'll have to ask ROBBO about his RSV4 purchase for an honest opinion (not like some other fuckwit on this site) But this looks really good. As long as I get a trickle charger and 24 hr rdside assistance.:ayyy:

The scene: a darkened mansion. Crickets are chirping. A hot blonde in a skull cap enters carrying a phallic flashlight. It looks like she's there to rob the place. The bombshell burglar strikes again. But what's that? A painting of the old F4? No, wait, it's the 2010 MV Agusta F4, you can kinda tell because the headlight's a little different :lmao:. Slowly, the blonde lifts the painting off the wall like it's a priceless old master, suddenly it animates into life, revealing a cliched on-track action clip with a thrash metal soundtrack.

Not convinced on the single head light though. While everyone else has the duel headlight i think it would look better,
