About 22 years ago I went on a road trip with my brother and father around NSW. We went all the way to Tibooburra. Nearly ran out of fuel but thankfully enough we were able to buy petrol at Milparinka. They kept unleaded in 44 gallon drums as not may vehicles were using back then.

We took an 87 VL commodore from Tibooburra to Walgett, it goes straight past Wanaaring, the road wasn't much fun back then, a couple of 4WD's gave us a strange look!.

We should look to put together a team bike. Anyone know of someone looking to sell a late model BMW GS for less then a $1000

I'm thinking of doing the OCR (Off Centre Rally) on my KTM640Adventure next year which is at Milparinka, this could be a good warm up to it
(albeit on a TOTALLY different bike! :rules: )
