Went for a ride on the old road loop today with 3 friends (all on sports bikes) there was plenty of "Piggly Wiggly" presence around (3 cars & 1 bike) obviously the Nasho incident's in the weekend have brought them out to the popular road riding spots.
We got the hard stare, best to keep the speed for the track.

They're going on a spree 'doing' people for speeding, except then letting you off for minor stuff, as part of their protest to the gvt.
Thats just from my observations over the last few days, they are freaking everywhere at the moment - their protest wont mean much unless they can show offences which they've let you off for - so they can't just be lazy.

Call me scheptical again, but I reckon they're letting people off for the 'minor stuff' only because the RTA lightened the penalties for low range speeding.
Re this protest of theirs, so it's fine to let you off when there's something in it for them, but when you ask them for a little leniency it's "sorry mate, that's the law". Nice.

Well, just to add to this, there is definitely some sort of operation happening at the moment. On the M7 this morning, got on at Norwest and got off on the Power St exit, I saw 3 cop bikes and an unmarked car between those 2 points. 2 of the bikes were on the southbound side, the other on the northbound, and the unmarked car was doing a u-turn in the emergency vehicle u-turn bay just before power st exit. One of the bike cops was sitting with a radar gun. Coming back, same deal, and I got off at Norwest, the unmarked car had pulled someone over right up the Windsor Rd end of Norwest Blvd.

Well it's nice to know they are spending our tax dollars keeping us safe:cursing: Oh, except for the dangerous violations they do themselves like u-turns across barrier lines just around blind corners, driving at stupid speeds overtaking us across barrier lines just to catch up with someone in front who was doing a few k's over the posted limit (which of course we all know is the absolute final word in safety cos if above it, you are dangerously out of control, but if below it then definitely safe irrespective of any other variables like wet/dry, dark/light, traffic heavy or light, lots of pedestrians or out in the middle of BF nowhere, bike condition, rider ability and experience etc.). Well I am glad that the world is such a simple black and white place where public servants are always on hand to keep me safe from myself:lmao:

The same group of cops where operating in the road works zone on the hume te other day at Ingelburn, pulling people over for do tad over the 80km/hr zone yet 2 bike cops managed to miss the P plater fuckwit who was darting in and out of traffic in his rice burner. Becase if thay had to chase him they would have missed the spot where they were gong to set up there Radar to get those dangerous people going with the natural traffic flow.
