Are the roadworks from Loftus to Waterfall finished yet? Last time I went through there there were long sections of gravel.

I went through last saturday, it wasn't finshed then. I had to watch for gravel being flicked up. But its only on the straights.

It is more or less finished, there are some spots there still working on but as pointed out already only on the long straights so has no effect on the enjoyment factor. All the fun parts have been finished & even on the straights there only doing small sections so if there is some it is just a strip.
Hit the old road Tuesday morning before work it had been a while, no cars no bikes and more importantly NO PIGS had a wicked ride.
As for the nasho love it but I wish they would stop fucking with it and clean the moss of the roads after the tight section after garlie turn off!

I went for a run through the Nasho yesterday and the roadworks are still on in places but tar is covering most of the road. It's a pretty good run now too. All the old bumpy corners have been fixed up and there are some really aweomse parts too, especially the new hotmix section past Garie running down to waterfall.

It's lookn good the old nasho now. There were plenty of riders in the morning but traffic wasn't so bad....still have the odd spots with gravel on the sides though...
from Garie to the waterfall turn off it's quite a blast although our friends in blue are now hiding in the bush just after the twisty section as you get onto the straight stretch coming from the city so be careful there :rules:

I went through the Nasho, gotta say, whilst much of the road is still crap, that new bit is sweeeeet!
It's also heavily policed, I saw them twice; once on the way down, and the second time whilst they were stuff ..... errrr .... having a snack at Bold Hill.

yeh i might go a couple of laps tomorrow morning too...
shame about the fatality - wonder what the circumstances were
I go there most weekends and regularly see 'unmarked' cars going past me in the other direction.
I say unmarked as is has been a bright green holden SS the last few times. It seems obvious from a mile away.
There seems to be only a limited number of spots they could realistically 'get you' from the waterfall turn off to bald hill.
There are rules that the police need to abide by in regards to turning around to chase or put a radar on you. I havent done the Sutherland to waterfall turn off lately so not sure where they could be there though...

I was told a guy on a 3 wheeler died earlier. Haven't found anything in the news sites on it though so maybe not real
The Bald Hill accident the guy was chopper'd out after he had a head-on with a ford.

Yeah there was one at that time to. My dad was going through the park at that time with some mates and they saw it.
Cheers
Went through there today and did the full run. Saw a marked car going in the other direction on the new hotmix section between Garie beach and waterfall turn off.
Seems everytime i go there, there has been police running up and down it.
Agreed that the new hotmix section from Garie beach turn off to waterfall id great. Will be even better when i know that section of the road better.

Decided on an afternoon ride through. Beautiful. No cars until i got to the nice little left hand sweeper then into quick right left!!!!! (past the rest area thing just before the waterfall turn off) A superslow driver and a mini bus doh! i hate when you get traffic at the good spots.
