Just wanting to know if anyone here has any sort of MA official's qualifications in case I can put forward a RAT's name if ever needed at the EC ride days.
Clerk of Course, Race Secretary, Scrutineer or Steward, any level.
Feel free to PM me if you'd prefer not to go public.

Heya Clarkey, it depends on what you enjoy, MA gives you accreditation in the big four roles (Steward/Clerk of course/Race Secretary and Scrutineer), or the other roles like timekeeper, starter etc etc.
Usually you just go to a free MA course (here (http://www.motorcycling.com.au/PDF_Files/Seminars/s_semcalforweb_020509.pdf)) and if you pass you can apply for a (I think a free) MA license. After acting in that role at a couple of race meets you can move up the ladder so to speak.
Kinda described in this pic:
The different levels are needed when running different types of race meets, i.e. Club you only need Level 1, interclub L2 and up to MotoGP/International Level 5

Good Info, Jason. I looked at the course outline- have you got a link to make further enquiries to maybe book in? What exactly does a steward do?
I'd be interested to have a bit more useful knowledge to help out at some meetings (other than a flaggie) if I could find the time.
Thanks Jeff
