Not my petition, but I think all riders in Sydney would agree that this is a long overdue change to the road system.

I think there's "Bus Lane" which you can ride in, but "Buses Only" you can't.

Same here. I always thought that we were allowed to ride in them, considering how many others I see riding in them I'm not the only one.:confused1:

It's only fare we get some compensation, it is bad enough they expect us to pay the same in tolls as cagers.:cursing:

So what about the bus lanes on the harbour bridge? Are we not allowed in them either? And what about the ones in the CBD along George St etc? How do you tell the difference between the ones we are allowed in and those we arent?

If it states "Bus Only Lane" then supposedly that is meant to be the deciding factor for buses only. However confusion reins supreme as there was a change in wording that allowed taxis in them in some instances which also depending on who is interpreting the law meant motorcyclists.

I think if you got busted and wrote in you would have a compelling case as the law here is very grey.

Thanks to all. I'd really like to see this guy's petition make a difference. The cops are always there on a Friday when most people ride their bikes to work for a bit of a pose/chat. Booking these riders for using the Bus Only lane is not only lame, it's pretty low and "un-Australian".
