Hi boys and girls.
Thought I'd give an update on my condition.I had a xray last friday which showed no movement of the fractured bone(L1 vertebrae). This bone was cracked right through but not displaced and the T7,T9,T10 have wedge fractures which arent to serious.:Kat00:
I've been lying flat on my back for 2 weeks and have 2 to go.They cant get a bed for me at Wollongong so I have to stay here in Canberra until healed.
Thanks heaps to all of you for well wishes and offers of help,it is greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to a ride and tinkering with my bikes.:ninja:
Hope to be fit to race at the last St George round ot OP in September.:ayyy:

So far only have some pics of bruises.
Most injuries were internal like the vertebrae and 2 semi collapsed lungs which were badly bruised too.
I asked for the xrays and scans, but they wont give them to me until I leave the hospital.

J/K,, heal fast well and true mate. Shame they cant get you a bed closer to home too. Must be hard on family that, and suprises me they 'cant find a bed'..

Well 4 weeks have dragged by and I'm due to get out this saturday.
They are going to fit me with a back brace on friday then have me get out of bed and stand for the first time.Apparently there's a good chance I'll pass out or vomit.Yay.:hatter:
The young bloke who was in the bed next to me said it didn't feel like his legs and he was only laid up for one and a half weeks.
See you at the track soon.:ayyy:

i think MA insurance only covers permanent injuries and losses: ie permanently wheelchair bound or loss of limb. That's why i have seperate insurance insurance. they cover for a set payment per week regardless of income level if i can't work for any inujury-related reason, not as much as my income, but it would make the difference between losing the house and not.
seriously i hope you r doing OK both in body and in family-spirit. I can't help around your house seeing we are 4 hours away, but i imagine if you need someone to mow the lawn and such, some rat may help...
keep perving on the nurses? `)
