I owned a Super Duke with the full Akro titanium. Was a lot of fun.

Never ridden a 990R so I'm not sure how much it deffers to the SD. Are you considering one or just curious?

Johnny, there are a few of these owned by guys in ADVRider and they do like them. May be worth looking that way.

Are you considering one or just curious? Curious is probably the best way to describe it, I really liked what I saw, looked asthough they really handled well ( knee down everywhere I could see, and held its line and cnr speed better than most out on the track), and the power although not quite that of the a sportsbike, had no trouble lifting wheel under power alone. >>>> I LIKE <<<<

Hah !, your forgetting I rode a streetfightered 85 gix 3/4 L :dohsmiley::lmao:

Cheers for responces guys, will look them up ;)

I spent a day out at eastern creek flying round on all the latest KTM's including this one, it was awesome! alot sharper handling than the 950... more power obviously, it's definately a performance bike, not one for touring, thats for sure.

Backs in nicely, quite a tight package. Much easier to throw around than the Hypermotard. Last time i rode the Hypermotard the gearbox shat itself...

feels alot lighter to ride than the hyper motard, wider bars and doesn't have those gay handlebar mirrors that will break if you drop it in your driveway....

I rode it first up with the suspension on the factory setting, then I played with it to suit me and I couldn't keep the front wheel down!! it was awesome!!!

990 Superduke R was the pick of the day if you want true sportsbike handling with this seating position.....

Thanx for confirming this for me, I just knew I wasnt seeing things, this bike really impressed me for what it is, I have never been a fan of nakeds or tardies, but this just had instant appeal on me after watching it go round and round, I so want a ride on one.. Just looks like bucket loads of fun.

edit...btw.. You Wuzza ?, if so, I was the guy along with Snow ( older gent, racer of yrs) in the morning drooling over it.. :)
