It's arguable how much use petitions really are but it only takes a second to fill in and you can omit your details if you want to be anonymous.

If there's one thing I bloody despite about riding into the CBD is the lack of parking riders get. They've added a handful of parking bays here and there but with the increase in scooter riders they're quickly filled. If anything that should be an indication to Sydney City Council to increase bike parking.

dude i find there are more and more bike parking spaces allocatedall over the city you just need to know where to look, not only that they are free. good old clover moore is doing a pretty good job in her push to get more bike parking in the city. i hear you about how quick they fill up but i do think we will get plenty more just need to be patient. if we make to much noise and demand more we may find our selves having to pay for the privilage. i can only suggest if you have an area you think deserves more spaces forward a proposal to clover moore's office and see how you go you just never know.:ayyy:

I have no real faith in pursuing petitions. Poll data is inherrantly unreliable and pollies are full of crap.

It may be a sure thing but it took 4 seconds to put in my shit and click 'sign'. Maybe it'll speed things up. Fuck it.

Just ignore the 'give us money' shit after you fill in the thingo.

I thought they'd made m/c parking in the CBD free no matter where you parked ? Was it only for a short trial run ?

Still free to park a bike in the city. Not sure why this petition is there! :confused1:

Maybe they want more "all day" parking...

As I've said elsewhere, parking next to and inbetween cars is pretty risky. Car drivers, particularly in tight CBD spaces have a habit of knocking bikes over.

I don't know who dreamed up this petition but if it benefits bikes in any way and requires little effort I'll sign it.

I submitted the petition but fat load its gonna do IMO.

At least I've got my own park sport at work, middle of the city so I dont have to worry about parking.
