Gibernau fractures collarbone in Le Mans crash

Rider will fly to Barcelona for surgery after breakage.


Sete Gibernau has fractured his collarbone in two places in a nasty Saturday morning highside, ruling him out of any further in the Grand Prix de France as he flies back to Barcelona for surgery.

The Spaniard fell heavily on his left shoulder in the crash, reinjuring himself after a preseason plagued with collarbone problems on the same side. It is the third time that he has incurred a clavicle fracture in a fall.

Gibernaau has always suffered from damaged shoulder from years ago, its a mess and i was suprised he came back.......the only guy to be a pain in Rossi's butt, no pun intended ! for nearly 3 years...will be a pity to see him go out this way....he seemed to be getting the duc towards the top ten too...
