I couldn't think of a better bike to do this to! :D
Rev limiter for half an hour! http://smiliesftw.com/x/turborofl.gif I'm surprised it didn't all melt into a puddle.

Sheesh, and to think that my engine dropped it lunch at approx 5000 rpm whilst riding with full radiator and oil and no overheating after approx 15 minutes of riding!

Go the Big K!
I seem to remember something about some journos trying to kill a C90 or CT110, something or other.:confused1: Anyway, they dropped the oil and replaced it with cooking oil. After being abused and dropped off a roof it still happily plodded along.

:lmao: ah yes, sorry, forgot the :stirthepot: emoticon.
Although the article starts with a comment about Jap bikes being 'indestructible' (or something like that) ... and I'm guessing that they meant Honda too, I thought they're generally up there.
I like the test, because frankly I'm always worried, after all we go on track and run the bikes at high revs for a fairly long time. It takes a bit to get used to the bike being OK with it, doesn't it?

When I was an apprentice, I filled up a vacuum pump (like an air compressor but a little closer tolerances) with car wash rather than oil (looked the same, felt the same and I had a cold so I could not smell the difference ... idiot). Anyhow it ran non-stop for a good 70 hours, and it was as good as new (and probably cleaner :lmao:). Revs were lower of course, but still ...
