Tunnel speed cameras suck!!!

No camera in the harbour tunnel- check

One both ways in the M5- Check

Who knows where the fucking camera`s are in the Lanecove tunnel, as I hate sittin on 80!!!!

Never been booked in the harbour tunnel either way!

Remember last year that dude who got booked, they only could get him because they used the normal cameras to work out speed x distance traveled!

there is one in the harbour tunnel..... its after the third 80 speed sign painted on the ground.... there is none in the 70 speed section of it..... then there is one after the painted lane numbers in the end as you get towards mosman....

i found these out the hard way...... you've been lucky, very lucky...

going south look carefully where the cct joins the tunnel and there is 4 lanes briefly its where the onramp is on the right entering and the off ramp to the left begins.... the camera is where those little plastic orange markers start!!..... and covers all 4 lanes!

The cameras in the Lane Cove tunnel are between doors 8 and 9 in both directions. As you drive through, you will see a set of numbered doors on the inside lane, the cameras are near 8 and 9 both ways, if you look up, you will see the matt black cameras on the roof on the inside lane, and also see the wires in the ground.

when i got done, i got the "mail" just several days afterwards.....

take your time through the harbour tunnel the painted 80 on the tarmac is where it is its about 1-3metres after it its the last 80 before you exit now you know you will see it!!!

Another way to tell north bound camera is directly under the 4th 80k speed sign, as the tunnel turns to the left and starts to rise.

Lane Cove Tunnel is easy to spot both ways. Heading South it is just before you start to go up the hill (as others have indicated) the North bound is about 200m from when the stop coming down the hill. Both have a changeable 80km/h sign that will show up in the picture, or if in the case they alter the speed to 40 to really sting you.

Harbour tunnel is in the same place in both directions, just as start the incline you will see 80km/h painted on the road, about 2m in front of that is the speed detection lines, again when you have your photo taken the speed limit is shown.

In the eastern distributor, there is no south bound camera that I can find or have been told about when we were working on it. North bound it is about 500m from the toll gates, again not long after you have come down the incline.

I regularly do a little over the speed limit and have not been booked as I slow down for these spots.

after being done a few times in various tunnels I make an effort to stick to the speed limit for the whole tunnel. They are not that long and makes the journey less stressful.

Dude that Lane Cove tunnel seems to go forever on the duke trying to sit on 80k`s in 2nd gear!!!

I dont sit in 2nd gear throught the LC Tunnel :ayyy:

After you find the cameras once you will know where to brake.... no fines have come my way in the last year. (:lmao: watch the backlog arrive at once...:dohsmiley:)

Guy I know reckons the sensors don't pick up along the centre lines through the H Tunnel. He's done 160ish on the centre line south to north and he didn't get any mail. Not sure I'd be game to test his theory though.
