Can someone with a 05-06 CBR600RR unplug there front blinkers & see if system then doesn't work. That means the rear blinkers don't glow or flash & there is no light on dash with front blinkers disconnected.
This bike system sucks with blinker relay built into instruments & I don't have front blinkers to test (there ordered) & I don't want to bolt bike together until I'm sure they work as may need to trace wiring & test components. Just to save the questions as I only want answers bike was striped to be a track bike & is being put back on the road & it's not mine.

You should be able to tell using the wiring diagram...
got the same issue with one of my 04's ... fuse & loom seems intact, even tried 2 other dashes with nil result
going to have my sparky mate chase it to find it out
built in relays are a PITA!

Tell me something I don't know :confused1:
The CBR600RR until 07 when they went back to normal blinker wiring like any other bike is not so easy to fault find. The front blinkers have a 3 wire connection the rear have 2 & the relay is part of the dash not a separate relay.
I simply want to know if without front blinkers plugged in does the system when energized have any lights glow. It's like with some systems if a bulb blows the other will blink fast or stay on. I would like to rule out the simple things before spending hrs tracing wiring.

Yes but do you have a diagram ? You should be able to tell from that by the amount of wires at the front and the back
.....
Yes, rear blinkers blink faster with its mate at the front unplugged. Mines an '04 tho.
99% sure, this is from memory a few weeks ago when I replaced a front blinker.

100% certain they blink faster on the 03/04 model.
I know going by mine that if NIL flashers are attached the dash does not register anything - no dash indic light

So if all blinkers are disconnected then there is no dash illumination? If one or more blinkers is connected then the flash rate is increased?

This is for you Hype :)
The integrated blinker relay in dash is a major problem & for some reason causes most problems & is only a 2 wire type with a constant 12vdc feed in & then feeds 12vdc out to the blinker switch. If relay faulty you will have no 12vdc feed at blinker switch.
If you have everything connected & get no blinkers what so ever go to the blue harness plug left hand side of bike.
Find the GREY wire & the WHITE/GREEN wire these are the wires for the dash blinker relay.
With ign off jump these 2 wires then turn on ign & turn on blinker you should then have that side blinker come on but wont flash as you have taken blinker relay out of circuit. If still no blinker light you have a bad connection somewhere else or faulty blinker switch.
If blinker does come on the dash blinker relay is stuffed but is a simple fix & you don't need to replace dash pcb which is a $800 part. You simply cut the GREY wire & WHITE/GREEN wire away from blue harness connector & wires that feed away to rear of bike (not feed to dash) connect a 2 wire blinker relay (you do this mod anyway if you fit leds to fix blinker rate).
This totally bypasses dash blinker relay & fixed the problem with a $20 relay the only thing is you need to connect relay correct polarity to operate blinking. If you connect & blinkers stay on just rev the wires & then blinkers will blink.
I also worked out why there is a 3 pin plug main harness front blinkers, I have the US front harness which has extra pin for running lights.
