on channel 10s new 1 HD the race is said to start at 9 AM MONDAY 13/04/09 also the same time on the usual ch10 dont know start time for the fox as i dont have it but the race starts at 6 am our time so if its live that is the time for the motogp race
for live timeing on www.motogp.com sat morning 125 start at 0330 am 250 0430am moto gp 0530am to 0615 am only 1 session friday ( new rules)
sat sessions start at 1 am for 125 and the day runs till 8 am our time
sunday warm up starts at 1 am for 125 with moto gp warm up at 2am till 2:20 am
125 race start time 3 am
250 race start time 4:15 am
moto gp race start time 0600 am MONDAY 13/04/05 live
enjoy ...... and remember to ring the boss and tell him you got a flat tyre or something for why ya having the day off or going to be real late lmao

9 am on free to air channel ten Seraph. Same time In Queensland aswell, except for maybe channel.

You wont have HD tv unless you have a hig definition tv ( which ofcourse has new channesl tuned to it), or a set top box..

Joint statement on Qatar race postponement

FIM, IRTA, Dorna and the QMMF (Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation) have released the following statement on the MotoGP race postponement at the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar.


Due to adverse weather conditions, the MotoGP race at the Commercial bank Grand Prix of Qatar has been postponed.

Following discussions between FIM, IRTA, Dorna and the QMMF, a proposal was put to the MotoGP teams to run the race tomorrow evening. Thanks to a huge effort from all parties concerned, and out of respect to fans of motorsport around the world, it has been decided that the race will take place on Monday 13th April, 2009.

The warm-up will run at 6.30pm local time (GMT+3), with the race scheduled to start at 9pm.

FIM Road-racing Commission President, Mr. Claude Danis stated, “For safety reasons it was not possible to race in the night due to the reflection of the lights on the track. This decision had already been taken a few years ago when we first decided to run a night race in Qatar. On behalf of the FIM I am very happy that we could postpone the race until tomorrow. It is important for the championship, especially at the first race, and I would like to thank Dorna, QMMF, IRTA and the MotoGP teams for helping reach this decision together.”

Dorna Sports CEO, Mr. Carmelo Ezpeleta added, “After the arrival of a large storm we had to cancel the race as it was unsafe. The QMMF offered us the choice to run the race tomorrow, and as it was a very important decision we wanted to consult with all the team managers. The postponement was accepted by a large majority. This has been an extraordinary decision in extraordinary circumstances.”

They did say at the end of there broadcast (fox 3)this morning that "when ever the race is re run they will broadcast it". I checked the foxtel web site and they have it on fox sport 1 at 330 am on tuesday morning.

I would say that is correct as both those classes have raced already & the time slot isn't long enough to show them.

Im assuming Fox will just have a good intro and outtro to cover the extra hour as theres only the MotoGP guys to race.

I much prefer the Fox coverage with commentary but channel 10 show the GP on their new HD sport channel ONE, So i wonder why fox cant use the HD broadcast and play it on FOX SPORTS HD, That would be the ultimate, The fox coverage and commentary but broadcast on HD.

I watched both the TEN and FOX coverage of the island when i got home from seeing it live last year, The HD coverage is the exact same it seems (except for the different commentators) just much better quality. So i cant see why fox cant use it other than the rights?

This track lends itself to people getting away though, it's hard to pass on and it's open, long straight etc, I rekon the other tracks will work out closer than this one. in saying that Rossi is only 5 points behind Stoner after round one this year, he was way further behind than that last year, so it's a long way from over just yet. WAS good to see people fading with the tyres etc, although Stoner didn't fade at all really, but Rossi who is spose to be the king of riding around shit like this, got to a point and went backwards at a rate of knots. LOL Again though he is in a better position than he was last year and look what happened then.

Great race for CE, shame about his start but didn't go backwards and settle for a lonely race in 8th....... head down arse up and jags 4th. Saweeet

I reckon it is Casey who is in a better position this year. Last year they couldn't get his bike to work at all the circuits, especially early on but this year Casey has been fastest at all the tracks they have tested on, even Jerez where they have had plenty of trouble at before.
There's a long way to go yet but it is looking promising for Casey. Looks like it's a two horse race yet again.

Dunno about that, Casey said in the intervoew after the race that they were "guessing" and had problems over race distance, but luckily in the warm up before the race, it was OK so they thought they'd be sweet. If you look at that like an extra session to set stuff up, they sorted shit out they would not have if they raced Sunday. Add to that, the tyres have definately made an impact and at other tracks the racing will be closer, tyres will flog out and then it will be the survival of the fittest....... can't wait to see some more.
